In this page, I will share with you the addresses of some of my favorite food artisans, shops, and food providers in the region of Toronto.
The Pantry – Located in Little India, East End Toronto.
I love to go there … and try and learn about Canadian artisan cheeses. I love to pair them with my creation – beer jellies and beer glazed nuts as well as to use them when doing cooking experimentation at home as well as for my demo+ dinner cooking events.
Fresh From the Farm – Located in East End, Donlands Ave, Toronto
One of my favorite place for meat, charcuterie, cheese, butter, cream, fruits and vegetable as well as blueberry scones (this one is not so good for me!). Fresh From the Farm partners with Ontario’s Amish and Mennonite farmers to provide quality, organic or hormone-free and drug-free food. Affordable, good quality products and … really yummy!
St Andrew Poultry – Located in the mythic Kensington Market, Toronto
I love to go there, and buy some chickens, duck eggs or more. I didn’t try yet their “Foodie bar”, but I will next time when I will visit Kensington Market!
Fiddlehead Farm – Available at different farmers’ markets in Toronto during the summer season
I met Heather – the co-owner – last year at my local farmers’ market here in Greek town – Withrow Park Farmers’ Market. I was looking for different kinds of tomatoes, yellow, orange and red to make jam. It started like this, I have a great interaction with her and now if I want good vegetables for my cooking experimentation at home or for my demo + dinner cooking event, it is where I go.
